On WPC fliptronics to WPC-S games, failing LM339 voltage comparators at U4 and/or U6 on the fliptronics board. On WPC-95 games, replace U25 and/or U26 on the CPU board (since these games don't have fliptronics boards). Although these don't fail often, they can cause weak flippers.
WPC Fliptronics flipper buttons are opto activated. If a WPC Fliptronics flipper doesn't work, and it's not a coil, transistor or wiring related problem, you should suspect the flipper opto board.
